BEEF CATLLE HUSBANDRY IN POLAND

CHALLENGES AND PERSPECTIVES for „Green Valley”

dedicated to memory of Professor's Aleksander Dobicki

 

We would like to inform you that from 10th till 12th of September 2017 a scientific conference will be held in Karpacz (Hotel Artus) and Radomierz (Research and Educational Center UP Wroclaw). The conference will cover the issues related to beef cattle breeding and husbandry, technology production conditions and beef quality and will be held under Honorary Patronage of the Marshal of Lower Silesian Voivodeship and Rector of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and with support of Beef Sudecka Cluster and Polish Union of Breeders and Producers of Beef Cattle.

 

In the 1980s and 90s Profesor Aleksander Dobicki, a long-term employee of Cattle Breeding and Milk Production Department at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, was the main precursor and propagator of this issue and the organizer of the conference as well as co-organizer of the Polish Union of Breeders and Producers of Beef Cattle.

 

The conference is addressed not only to employees of scientific institutions, zootechnics and veterinarians but also to breeders specializing in the beef cattle production. The goal of the Conference is to discuss issues related to beef cattle breeding, taking into account prospects and possibilities of further improvement based on the use of grassland.
